DOMESTIC EARTHING SYSTEM
Clause 5.6.2. 5 in AS/NZ 53000 states "Any conductive reinforcing within a concrete floor or wall of a room containing a shower or a bath shall be bonded to the earthing system of the electrical installation"
"An equipotential bonding conductor, in accordance with Clause 5.6 .3, shall be connected between the reinforcing material and any part of the earthing system and the room.
The WRICON Domestic Earthing System has been designed as a reliable and constant electrical earth for this purpose. This provides a direct electrical bond to reinforcing steel mesh in domestic housing concrete foundations.
The system can be installed easily, simply and professionally, by contractors on site in the form of a clamped or welded connection to the reinforcing mesh.
The WRICON Domestic Earthing System earth lead is safely cast within the concrete and cannot be severed by other trades on site. CADWELD welded connections (unlike compression connections) do not deteriorate nor increase in resistance over time. The insulated earth lead incorporated in the WRICON Domestic Earthing System prevents galvanic corrosion and high resistance joints.
